Andrew Barry

Andrew Barry is a senior roboticist on the Spot Manipulation team. He combines perception and control systems to create robot behaviors such as grasping, door opening, and jump roping. Andrew received his PhD from MIT doing work on high-speed fixed-wing drones flying at trees. Andrew focuses on creating new robot behaviors to perform tasks previously impossible for robots, while ensuring the systems work outside of the lab.
