Nicola is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Engineering Systems and Environment and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Virginia. He leads a team of researchers focused on increasing autonomy, resiliency, and security of mobile robotic and cyber-physical systems.

 

Christoffer Heckman
Christoffer Heckman

Assistant Professor, University of Colorado Boulder

Christoffer leads the Autonomous Robots and Perception Group in the Computer Science department at Colorado University. His work combines research on computer vision and sensor fusion for mapping and state estimation on mobile robots. He develops new tools in machine learning, control, planning, and robotic perception, and deploys these technologies on experimental robotic platforms.

Associate Teaching Professor, University of Missouri College of Engineering

Dale is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the IT Program at the University of Missouri. He has 25 years of experience managing technological innovation, designing and developing products and services, and teaching generations of designers, software engineers, and computer scientists.

Joris Sijs
Joris Sijs

Scientist, The Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO)

Joris is the team lead of various programs at TNO where he helps to develop and integrate software modules for the perception, awareness and planning of autonomous systems and autonomous robots. More recently, he extended this work with the development of knowledge-graphs (or cognitive databases) and how to combine this type of AI with the machine- and deep-learning solutions in AI.
